I'm considering a new Global Cup car and looking for options for shorter drivers (about 5'7"). As I understand, the only FIA approved slider is the Recaro one and it must be used with a Recaro seat to remain FIA compliant.

Has anybody successfully fit a Recaro race seat w/Slider in an MX-5 Cup?  The Recaro seats look to be a little wider than the OMP HTE-R 400, so I'm not sure if they would fit.

Any other solutions out there being used by shorter drivers? Thanks.

Why do you need a slider?

I'm worried that with the extra A-pillar, it will be too tight to get in and out, if the seat is mounted far forwards. I think Nate mentioned this in the driving impressions thread a while back. A secondary reason is that I would like to allow some other drivers (of various heights) to try the car.

Ah - being tall, that never occurred to me! Post up what you find - it might help some others in the same situation.
