As a FYI to those that give a rats about torque specs on suspension parts, the '99-00 FSM has an incorrect ft-lbs spec listed for the Rear LCA Long-bolt. Rear Suspension section shows 63-74 Nm (63-73 ft-lbs). Under the Rear Axle section the correct spec is given 63-74 Nm (47-54 ft-lbs).

Could it be that the correct torque is 63-73 ft pounds and that the NM is in error?. I guess what I'm saying is that is a pretty substantial bolt and I think I would rather torque it a 70 Ft pounds vs 50 Ft Pounds.

There are 2 different bolts. 100% interchangeable except one is fine thread and the other is coarse thread. Probably the corrected torque setting got changed in one place and not the other.

The bolt is substantial, but it steps down for the threaded portion. Since the same Nm spec was mentioned in two separate sections for the bolt and the spec seemed to roughly match other bolts of that size (threaded area), I'm assuming it's the correct number.  :)

Intestesting...that might explain why when I ordered a replacement bolt/ spare that the nut I had that I thought should fit it, did not. I just thought I had misplaced the correct one.

I believe that nut is also one of those "pinched" lock-nuts that you should only be able to finger tighten a few turns before you feel resistance.

Didn't know the bolt was offered with differing thread pitches. I'd suspect it's year specific, but length is the same, so they're interchangeable in that regard.
