So I was involved in an ‘incident’ this past weekend at the Ridge. Anyone know of a shop to get car track worthy again? I’m in the Kent , wa area.

Sorry to hear about your car.  Rear quarter damage can be a bit pricey to fix.

I'd just ask the local SCCA and Conference SM drivers where they take their cars for body damage repairs.  Maybe Keith Novak knows?  He lives in that general area and frequents this forum on a regular basis.

Ok thanks. I’m not super good at networking. I should have some contacts from my club but I don’t. I only race 3 or 4 times a year. I’ll try to reach out to one of the chairs

I don't know of anyone to help you and I know this is not an answer to your question, but here is a thought. You could try the repair yourself, it will likely not be pretty but if you are patient, learn from you tube and a resourceful on Craigslist or Ebay, you can probably get something that will be acceptable. The rear bumper is very easy to remove , as is the light. I don't know about the wrinkle in the seam under neath which might need some professional attention, however a hammer, ( read that as assortment of hammers of different weight and size) some wood and assortment of tools will allow you to beat the dent out. Then sanding and finish with Bondo. You can buy spray paint cans on line with the color code matched from your car. I think you probably need a new bumper ($150-200) a new light ($70-100). I would say a body shop likely would want about $2000-3000 maybe more, who knows. All depends on what you are up for . I have bought spray paint from automotivetouchup.com and been very happy with the quality ..I think someone on here recommended them. I think one of the satisfying things about Miatas is the opportunity to mess with them if you are so inclined to do the work. It's just depressing to spend a whole bunch of money on a fancy paint job and then have it ruined.  Body shops I have learned are almost always obsessed with perfection...because you know, their customers want to not know anything happened. Asking a Body shop to give you a race quality finish is tough  because who knows what  is acceptable for the money spent. Anyway, just food for thought. Now the more important question, is we all need to know the story of how it happened and if its good needs to be on Spec Miata Man Drama on that facebook thing.

Porta power is your friend, as long as it's just cosmetic. Brace it along the opposite frame rail and push the fender back out. Maybe some body hammering to finish the job, and as mentioned some bondo to make it smooth-ish.

Can't tell from the photo, but you might be able to fix the bumper with sheet aluminum and pop rivets...As long as the mounting tabs are still there, or can be fabled.

Then some rattle can red to pass the 50/50 rule. Back in bidness.

Tom is right. Our rear looked like this last year too and we picked up a porta power from ebay and they can do amazing things. It was bent enough that the battery was about covered up and is back just like before the wall impact. A little black spray paint, bumper, tailights and looks good now.
