Anyone know what happened?  According to the track schedule, Mercedes/AMG had an event had the track booked.  So, I imagine that the event was run for them by AMCI or a similar marketing shop.

I heard that a car blew up their motor and leaked a significant amount of oil on the entry to the corkscrew and pulled off towards the flag stand on the inside. The corner worker went outside of their station and over the tire wall to talk to the driver and make sure they were okay. During that time, 1-2 cars were coming up the hill. They hit the brakes and lost traction which sent them towards the corner worker & parked car.

This is all from word of mouth, so I could be wrong. However, this is a very unfortunate and sad occurrence. Thoughts and prayers to the family of the corner worker.
