I have been spending Hours creating a Spread Sheet to look at everything I need to freshen up my 1.6 motor. I want to buy new 20 over pistons and rings and I can't find an outlet better than Mazda Motorsports. Anyone got any ideas as to who I can reach out to get new Low Priced Pistons and Rings?

If you have a racer account with Mazda you probably won’t beat those prices for most genuine OEM stuff, I’ve tried. Even having a buddy in a dealer parts dept getting his employee discount wasn’t cheaper the times I checked.

Also FYI, for SM, 10 over pistons are legal. 20 over are not. At least not last time I checked.

Mazda just sent me 20 over sized in a package with the 10 over part number on it. Has anybody had this issue also?

Well that's a new one. Not impossible but plausibly unlikely.
Are there markings on the pistons themselves which indicate .020 over sizing?
I'd measure and be certain.

Pistons are marked in mm over, not inches. Exactly what is on the pistons?
Do they have greasy fingerprints on them. Seriously. I’ve received pistons which had obviously been returned. It isn’t unheard of for big shops to order a bunch, cherry pick matched/lightest sets, then return the rest. It’s conceivable that someone else previously mixed some up before returning. What seems less likely is that regardless of how they got boxed wrong you would receive a full set that way.

Steve is correct. Factory oversize pistons are marked in mm ".25" =0.010 inch (maximum SM legal oversize). Larger oversize's are available as in 0.50 = 0.020 in.
