Probably a stupid question, but I have winter boredom....NA1.8, '99/'00, VVT...they each look a little different...does AERODYNAMICS play any role in the advantages/disadvantages?

In 4th, and especially in 5th gear, yes. Even small differences in frontal area and drag coefficient can be far more important than a few HP.

I was always told that having the chin spoiler on a 99 yields 1-2mph on faster tracks.

I was always told that having the chin spoiler on a 99 yields 1-2mph on faster tracks.

 

The wind tunnel tests that some drivers did prior to the Daytona Runoffs may or may not confirm that  :)

And there were several other surprises

Imagine how fast I would be if I ever ran a chin spoiler.
