I'm in the process of safety wiring all the brake hardware.

Any suggestions for other things to do while i'm at it?

What comes loose? everything.

You can't tighten it and forget, it (the whole car) needs to be checked.

Safety wire? I don't use it, but some do.

Brakes, suspension, steering, if you have a problem you want to steer and stop.

I was lectured at length one morning about not having my lap belt attachment bolts safety wired. According to the tech inspector, it's required if you use stock mounting locations. I had never heard of this but was told "it's in the rule book."

I thanked the nice man for my tech sticker, observed that he didn't note it in my log book and haven't though much of it since but some people apparently think it's very important.

I don't safety wire anything, but do give the car a nut and bolt check every event. Especially the brake hardware. Check out my post from the old forum:

I do use Loctite on many things... Except brake components since heat is what softens Loctite.
