I've never bought new body parts before so please excuse me if this is a dumb question...

Is there any place to buy fenders cheaper than Mazda Motorsports?

I called a few weeks ago and they were about 139 each plus $15 shipping and tax.  I looked them up on the parts catalog today while looking for pricing on an air guide and they are almost $200 now.  Hopefully that's wrong...

RockAuto sells them for just under $100 but another $100 for shipping...

Not sure where else to look.  Used market seems to have run dry...  Nothing on CL or FB close to me.

Thanks.

It's more overall money, but I believe the shipping on fenders is the same for upwards of a quantity of 3 with RA.

Their shopping cart makes it easy to check for this.

And I'm really surprised at the lack of options in your part of the country but keep with it. Any whole cars coming up available near you?

Find some others to go in and pick up a whole parts car. That's what I've managed to do here in Jersey and it gives you an opportunity to get a whole car, and all the parts that comes with it, while keeping the per-part cost lower.

I'm surprised too.

Finding good used parts for the NA is becoming difficult compared to a few years ago - subframes, suspension, body, engine parts etc.  NB parts are easier to find now.  Same with donor cars.  At least here the SF Bay Area.  Even finding stuff at Pick-N-Pull is difficult.  Very different from 10 years ago when I started racing and buying used Miata parts.

I just bought and parted out a parts car so I don't really want another one just for 1 fender.  I now have spare doors, hood, front bumper, pax fender, subframes and 3 engines.  Considering the racing and economic slow down, I really don't want another carcass in my yard.

Assuming SM, is there no concern about OEM vs aftermarket?
