Finally got my JDM 1.8 working and with "great" power comes great amounts of ballast (NASA ST). ;)  I generally like to do things myself and learn, but it's also important to know when to not re-invent the wheel.   So a quick email to Jim (and I have to say I have no idea how he ever gets anything of his own done because he's ridiculously responsive), Paypal, and I had a ballast plate on the way.   Now if FedEx were even 1/10th as fast as him, I would have made this post a few weeks ago.

Anyway the plate is really well made, corners are nicely radiused, no need to debur or anything (unlike my self made additional plates that took hours and hours of prep), lines right up and bolts in.   Oh if you are using your own hardware the base plate takes 1/2-13 bolts for the additional plates.  Obviously the bottom/base plate bolts to the car via the stock seat mounts.   I really like the fine tuning you can do with a half plate!

Subpar paint job is mine (hey it was windy and raining a bit).

Anyway, I'm not sponsored, nor is this an ad, but in a day and age where everything seems to like to go wrong, this was a pleasant change for once.  Not that Jim needs the praise, but figured we could use a reminder to take the time to thank those who are still working hard to make things a bit easier for us.  The great  service was much appreciated!
