I rented a SM from One Stop Race shop for four or five track days last year and absolutely LOVED it. Been toying with the idea of it for a while, and I finally broke down and picked it up this weekend Here are some photos from the track day at Thunderhill the day after I got it.
Finally bit the bullet and picked up a 1990 SM! Bunch of pics too.

Going CCW, yes it is. Going CW not so much, if you clip the berm you'll jump the hill. I working on a few different turn in points, and happened to get this on camera.

I'd like to see the next couple shots and see if he eats it, but he looks like he'll land straight and then he needs to make a off camber right.
One crazy mofo, he should fit right in at the front of the pack.

Haha, I did fine. Was trying a few lines through there. Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I'd be more than happy midpack! Apparently I am not driving the "Miata" line in 3-4 either.

Never seen this in any race I've watched. Look me up if you keep trying "a few" lines as you will be needing spare parts!
BTW...our I/O port mount and gopro doesn't shake...and it is really stretched out.
