I've done some research and I see mixed opinions on where to mount these systems. The arguments I've read have been to mount it low, and as centered in the vehicle as possible (passenger side); or to mount it in the trunk. I'm considering the trunk, but am not sure if the weight in the rear coupled with the fact that the trunk crushes easily is a good idea or not. My other issue is that I will be instructing in the car at HPDEs, and having the cooler in the passenger side may be an issue.

I think you'll get more mixed opinions.

Get the car on the scales and try placing the cooler in various positions.

This.
For me, I put it in the trunk. That way, I know I have the option of throwing a passenger side seat in at some point. (Although I can't imagine what 200 pounds of extra ballast would do. Yikes!)
The tubes included with the Cool Suit were exactly long enough to come through the firewall on the passenger side and snake over behind the driver's seat on the left.

I need to add one, before the Night race at Charlotte. I have 25lbs of ballast in the passenger floorboard. I hope to mount it there, instead of adding 25lbs in the trunk.
