It was hotter the #$%^ this weekend in Hallet, Ok. Reynolds had a thermometer showing 106 in the shade

Sunday was a little better, but not much. Saturday regional Matt led flag to flag unchallenged, I had crank trigger issues towards the end of the race and pulled in, but he had me covered anyway. I started trying to work on getting the car a little better, which I knew was going to be tough as it was already pretty good, I just got beat

I used STU to dial in the car for later in the stint. It paid off. My car was really good in the national. Seemed like most were slipping and sliding, my car was glued, probably one of the best handling cars I have ever raced. It was one of those times you just want to keep going as you know you may never get it this good again

Even in the tremendous heat, it was still really fun to drive. Matt and I went side by side a few times, but nothing like the last time. We split the wins this year. Matt really puts on the pressure and never makes any mistakes, a lot of fun to race with that guy, win or lose.
Chris Haldeman is really coming on as well, he finished a strong third.
Congratulations to Sam Henry who won in both FP and EP, also to Ren Tucker who won ITA.
Great seeing a lot of long time friends that I just don't get to see often enough, always lots of laughs at this one. Great track, great people and great racing.
