Don't forget the MX5 is now competitive in 2 club and one pro class.
We got our ass handed to us in the RX8s at the 25, the MX5 has speed and fuel economy.
The MX5 is a very fast PT car, championship level at low cost.
The MX5 is its own class in SCCA now, SM5 (better spec racing that spec racer ford and certainly SM, lower cost than both too).
The MX5 is of course a pro cup car too.
THE SAME CAR if you plan it right, BIG bang for the buck and a great "rent my car there" so I can "race here" ride.
(rent for club events and pay for pro or vise versa)
I owe a HUGE thanks to Jason Hoover at AMG for doing the testing for PT, SM5 etc... This is THE car for the times we are in IM(not H)O

What's the trick donor for SM5? I'm about to trade in my 2006 Sport with diff...this is giving me second thoughts.
