At the Great Lakes Champs Series double regional this past weekend at Grattan Raceway they had "THE BEST" dinner that I have ever had at a race track. Grattan always puts on a nice show and goes the extra mile on their dinners.

Thanks Dale Frame and crew for going all out for the workers and competitors.

They must have used the same crew that they used at the National meet a couple of weeks before that. That was the best meal we ever had at any racing event. Even the year end banquets weren't that good. :)

They had one of those huge BBQ pits that is built on a trailer and pulled behind a truck.

Grilled Beef Loin
Grilled Chicken
Had the best sauce/seasonings on each of those.
Beans and corn in a sweet sauce.
Chips and salsa.
Flour tortias.

Just awesome.

Second best track meal that I have had was Gingerman, I think last year (maybe the year before). They did an Italian Wedding dinner.

Should we start a fine dinning thread.
Best places to eat at/by what track?
Hole in the wall, best clams, ribs, 5 star, whatever.

Well thinking about it...
Post it in your own region or the region it's in.
And if you're waiting outside to get a seat next time, it's not my fault. :D

I'm not talking about a restaurant here. I'm talking about the worker/participant Saturday night dinner that came with my race entry. The West Michigan Region went all out for this thing. Impressive.

I understand, Congrats to the worker/participant, great job.

I didn't mean to steal the thread.
The thought just came to mind when I read it.

They grilled T-bones once at Nelson Ledges about 4 years ago. That was pretty tasty.

I like Los Arrieros in Lexington, OH. The food is cheap and it doesn't make me sick.
