Since I've only been racing just over a year, I didn't know the old site as well as many. I have learned so many things working on my car that would have been nice to have in a smaller, more compiled form. I'm not talking setup tips (though those are greatly appreciated) but other tips for the people working on their own cars that would just save them time, frustration, bloody knuckles, etc etc etc...

Things like:

5/8 12 pt. socket to use on the fill bolt for the transmission
15/16 socket fits the drain plug on the tranny, and both the fill and drain plugs on the diff

I'm sure there are many MANY others. Did anyone ever compile something like that?

Satire is primarily a literary genre or form, although in practice it can also be found in the graphic and performing arts. In satire, vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, and society itself, into improvement.[1] Although satire is usually meant to be funny, its greater purpose is often constructive social criticism, using wit as a weapon.

There's a decent set of tips and instructions over on miata.net.

I spent the time to read most of the garage from inception to closure a while back. I didn't ever see a compilation like that.

+1

fill bolt on the trans can be easily hit with an adjustable wrench. The drain plugs on the diff and tranny, you need a 23 and 24mm wrench.

I use a 12 pt socket on the trans fill plug. Adjustable wrenches tend to round the plug. Not sure what size, I just pull several sizes out of the tool box, one of them fits.

Handy tip, don't 'gorilla' the plug when you tighten it.

I think AC's headlight fluid is a quart low. :P
