I just heard Ron Cortez recently suffered a heart attack. I don't know how serious it is, but he is in a hospital in Oakland. If anybody has more info please let us know. Ron, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

He had a heart attack boarding a plane to go to LA for the weekend. He was supposed to have his surgery this morning but it was pushed to tomorrow. I hope it works out. If I hear any news I will update.

Oh man...really eerie, I left him a voice mail today. The fact that they can wait a short period of time to correct things may be a good sign...lets hope! Thoughts and prayers are with you Ron!

Yikes! I just read this and then separately learned he is having surgery on Monday. If they can let him wait for 3 days or so, that would seem to me (as a non-doctor) to be a good sign, that it isn't emergency-critical.
Ron is a resilient guy, I suspect he'll be back to chucking tires ASAP. Fingers crossed!

His surgery was successful and he is recovering now. Tim talked with him on the phone and he sounds good. He wants out from what I heard.
