Time for me to move on. Getting out of racing altogether (probably keep my license current with enduro rides). Just wanted to thank everyone here for your wisdom and help. I can honestly say my time in SM has been the most satisfying time of my motorsport career.

My 99 is in the classifieds section. I've reduced the price, but can't make that change on this forum's classifieds. Willing to deliver to Road America.

That must be a lot of tired, Kyle. Racing always makes me feel more invigorated -- I'm tired from NOT racing! In any case, sorry to see you go. Regardless of how you choose to use it, I hope you get the mojo back in spades.

Its just gotten to the point where the 30 min of racing, while ridiculous fun, doesn't overcome the pain in the ass that is prepping, packing, traveling and money spent.

First guy to show up in my driveway with 15k and a trailer before October 15 takes my 99 SM (without cool shirt and Tmate, but we can talk) and all the spares.

Usually my wife does all the packing part for us.

(Yes, she has a sister, and no, the sister is not single or anything like her.)

- why not ask SCCA to extend from 30min to something more. That is the first thing I would change at SCCA right along with deleting those local/region based websites.

1 hour of racing would overcome the pain in the ass.

Why would you delete the regional sites? Both Cal Club and LV Region have sites where they keep you up to date on schedules, meetings, etc.

Why would you delete the regional sites? Both Cal Club and LV Region have sites where they keep you up to date on schedules, meetings, etc.

- very simple, internet is a centralized place, there is no point to duplicate info. Everything should be at Scca.com. You go there, select your region and everything is there including the god damn registration. Same template for every region and etc. So that when I go on vacations to Florida I can find everything on SCCA.com and get my info there without looking for a specific website that has half the info.

Right now you have to go to 3 sites in order to pull all race info in my region. Not to mention you register for a race with a third party.

By delete I meant move everything to one central place (SCCA.com).

So the issue isn't removing a bunch of sites, it's vastly improving one site. If that actually happened, those other sites might whither away. And if they didn't, there would be a reason.

Sounds like you need to get involved with SCCA web development!

That's the issue, I can't get that info on the national site. In both cases it direct links to regional hosts, which are both great sites. In fact it's easier for me to have those two sites bookmarked. I see this a trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist.
