For the racer. Pure documentary, much of it Senna himself speaking. Opens tomorrow, Friday. Enjoy! -Juan

I consider myself lucky and honored to have met him personally and having shared a go kart race and track with him.
If you even have the slightest interest in racing or on what makes a person tick this is a must see.

great film, awesome racer
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting HOLY SHIT........WHAT A RIDE!!!!!!!!

Went and saw this yesterday with Phil H. and man, what a great film. Having not heard of Senna before the race, I am truly impressed by the quality of the documentary, and moreover his racing career. Unlike many documentaries this film does not lag - probably because it contains a whole lot of stock racing footage. It is a must see for those who enjoy racing. 5/5

I saw it last night - Great movie, even for those who do not know about his story.

A couple of things though:

-They really make Prost out to be a villian, almost over the top. I am rather young, but I do not remember him in such light.
-They needed to highlight more of Senna's qualifying skills. He has the most pole positions in the history of the sport!
-I almost didn't want to watch when they went to 1994.

Overall, really well done.

I'd like to hear more about that. :)

Great movie.

They did villainize Prost a bit. They also overlooked some things - like when he was down 100HP - and they didn't mention Donnington for some reason. I'd love to see that race footage.

Saw the movie in Miami last week. Incredible story. My friend who went with me is not a race fan and didn't know who he was and was crying at the end.

I saw it last night (8/28) with my wife and really enjoyed it (and she liked it (and cried) for not caring much about racing). As a huge Senna fan, it was very enjoyable to watch and re-live some of those older races. It was great to see some of those beautiful F1 cars from the late 80's and early 90's. I agree about 1994 - it was difficult to watch knowing the ending.

The in-car footage was awesome, especially with the theater sound system.

In my mind, Prost was always the villian, but I was/am biased.

Excellent movie, I really enjoyed it as did my wife who had no idea of who Senna was and is not a racer. If you are a Senna fan and want to dig deeper than the movie I highly recommend reading the book Aryton Senna, The Whole Story. Probably the best racing oriented book I have come across.

Non-PC alert. I always rooted for Prost. Hated to see Senna win.

The biggest Senna fan here. How can you not love a man who would rather crash trying to win, than settle for a safe 2nd place. That drive is what racing is all about. Much respect. So looking forward to the movie.

Crashing your own car to win is one thing - crashing other peoples cars to win is quite another ;)

Never liked Earnhardt either - no respect for dirty drivers.

Still going to see Senna when it comes to town 9/16.
