Thunderhill Track Extension
#1

meeting was held in the Thunderhill conference room. The design for
adding approximately two miles to the current three mile track was discussed.
The Thunderhill track extension would be designed to enable separate
events on both tracks or running a full five-mile course. The issue discussed
was the true economic demand for the additional track. While it would be great
fun to have the track extension, it’s a very expensive endeavor. The conclusion
of the discussion was a Board request that David Vodden gather a bit
more data before a final decision will be reached.

They moved the medical center in front of the playground to free up more paddock space.
They're also planning to enclose the viewing area were the tables are by the finish line.
I'm not sure if that answered your question.
NASA sets up a large blow up bounce playhouse and I think a few hours of day care for the kids.

Speaking of Thunderhill.. Does anyone know why they removed the playground?
I suppose you are disappointed now that you don't have a place to hang out in between races

So those that are so inclined can have a 25 Hours of off-road Thunderhill!
Full disclosure: SMAC chairman, my opinions do not reflect anything to do with the SMAC unless specifically stated.

Maybe the video didn't do anything for you. How about this?
Thank you Johnny, I have been looking for that type of drawing of the planned extension for awhile!!
The extension looks rather tight. Kind of like streets of willow feel. Was that the desired effect or product of the terrain?
5 miles per lap.... oh my. Sounds like too much fun but the 25 would take on a whole new dimension.
Build it and they will come!
