I just signed up SSM - Looking forward to this last event of the season.
I have run the south course during a club rental track day and had a blast.

Will there be a separate class for SSM, or just a single SM class?

Had a great time at the event. Thanks to chris for sponsoring the event, and to the monticello crew for putting on a fun race.

I never quite got the track right, it was so big it was tough to piece together a good lap where I got every corner right.
The nasty switchback at the end of the main straight was tough to handle - 120 mph down to 40 mph and the curbing would toss you in the air if you tried to take a bite. 2 second gear corners, and a great variety of lefts, rights, and off camber turns. I was a little surprised how tight it was considering it's a country club for big powerful exotics.

Are there any results posted for the event? I saw 13th out of 36 the last time my co driver went by the start/finish but they reported some timing loop errors that were making the results questionable.


Definitly a great end of season event - If they have another next season It's on my list.

Thanks for having us! Monticello is a very neat track. I was just beginning to learn it after 90 minutes of track time. Too bad it's private. I've heard from the rumor mill that they're planning to build a casino and another track (open to clubs) across the street.

Lastl year i believe we had near 30 cars, and the year before a few more than that.

Its a great venue and great folks that come to compete for the Enduro Championship.
I believe its one mandatory pit stop.

Typically, you have to be a member or a guest of a member to come race. but they will often open the doors up to a handful of non-associated quality drivers. if interested, contact aweiss@monticellomotorclub.com and let me him know you 'd like to attend.

Has this taken the place of the Maybury Cup Enduro...or is it not a come one, come all event anymore? Is it still open to any Miata team who can take the day off from work still?

I spoke with Katrina yesterday. It's not the Maybury Cup that was open to all SM drivers. It is for spec miatas - but I was told that you have to be sponsored by a member to attend. I'm disappointed.
