We've kind of confirmed this with someone at the track but:
My team of two drivers has never been to Monticello before. We were hoping to each run our own car simultaneously during the practice session in order to get max track time to learn the course. Then we'd obviously share a car for the enduro. Is this a go for us? I'd rather not trailer my car 4.5 hours there just to find out that we can't both be out there at the same time during practice in separate cars. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Last year three guys shared three cars
Taking turns in each car during race
So I would enter both cars and both drivers in each car

Linda and I are there in the # 38.
We will probably split the time pretty evenly. I will have some time to spare while she is on the track. I could do the first 45 or 50 mins while Linda is driving.
Here is some video from a track day. Not good but that's what I got.

A quick shout out to Ademir & SAC, as well as Chris Maybury for a tremendously fun event. Weather was perfect. I believe there were 37 cars in the morning practice though i think 1 or 2 didnt take the green flag. Chris Maybury sponsors the event along with Ademir/SAC and Monticello, as just a way to give back, give a free fun race to the SM community. Chris is so dedicated, and such a honorable gentleman, that despite being caught up in some family health issues andunable to attend, he still maintained his sponsorship of the event. Tons of kudos and respect to all involved.
Lots of great racing with some really nice drivers and sweet cars. 3.5miles and 17 turns. Lots of overtaking and drama throughout. Was tons of fun to do a multi-hour SM enduro with driver changes to enhance the dramatic fun.
A great day! A must-do for 2012!

Great day - over 30 cars finished the race. Thanks again to Chris Maybury for sponsoring the event and all the great support and cars from Ademir at S.A.C. For those of you that missed it, make it a must do for next year. The track is huge and can easily handle 50 cars - which would be great.

Had a Great Time at Monticello. All the people we interacted with were GREAT! Thanks to Katrina for all her help in the paperwork and organization. Especial thanks to the member of the staff who did the live Star Spangled Banner. Very nice treat and a job well done.
Starting positions from the hat put us in 29th. After about 30 minutes Linda had us in 15 th before the yellow flag period. After the pitstop we were in 20th and I got us back up to 15 and was starting to learn things about the track when I went a little too deep into the turn 10 / 11 right hander and found that the tire wall is a little closer to the track than what I would like. After hitting it witht he left front I sat there for a while and figured OK let's see if I can back out of this. Sure enough it came right out of the tires and went pretty straight moving forward so off to the pits we went. Changed the left front that got cut from the fender. Several people helped out (thanks Jeff) and I was on my way. Feeling a little upset with myself for going off but we did not finish last. And Linda had a faster lap time than me. She did great. SHould have left her in the car the entire race.
