For those of you that remember the discussion on the old site, and for those that don't, I decided to put my racing on hold last year and start a new chapter in my life with a 4 year contract in the Army as a 68w combat medic. I started Basic training back in May 2010 and 6 months later I have finally completely all of my initial training (graduate AIT this Friday). SM.com, all of its members and all of my racing peers used to be such a big part of my life, with my 6 month absence here I felt it's finally time for an update. Perhaps I will even keep this as a running blog with updates of the day in the life of Sean Allen.
Graduation of AIT is this Friday, the 18th of November. Generally, I would have been authorized 24 days of leave starting then (which would have been awesome, 25hrs of Thunderhill seat perhaps?!), However, because I am attending Airborne school, and then hopefully Ranger Assessment and Selection Program I will only be getting a 4 day pass. It looks like the next Airborne class starts January 3rd, which means I will still be stuck at AIT until December 16th when Christmas break starts (finally coming home!), and will head to Fort Benning for Airborne after that.
Anyhow, here are some pictures I found on the internet from last week in the field at Camp Bullis, Texas

The suit looks good on you, but is that helmet SA rated?
Congrats, and good luck with the assessment.

Watch out for the Italian 'working girls'
No no...isn't that watch for? Or "just watch" for??

For those interested, I have been conviced to start a blog. I haven't done anything like it before, so it may take awhile for me to get it going. But expect a few posts here and there about the daily life as a Soldier in Italy. Once deployed, expect it to be used as a tool to show pictures and videos and of course stories of the day.
