We are proud to announce that the Race Engineering 2011 Rookie of the Year award has been given to Charlie Hayes. Charlie began racing in 2011 and has already managed to turn heads. With respectable points finishes in 2011, Charlie sets the bar even higher in 2012. While chasing a NASA National Championship, Charlie also plans to compete in the Teen Mazda Challenge. We're proud to have him represent Race Engineering on and off the track.
As a reward for winning the Race Engineering 2011 Rookie of the Year Award, Charlie will receive a fully prepped Race Engineering motor and the support to go along with it. He will be offered driver coaching and set up help throughout the year and will play an integral part of Race Engineering testing for our future engine development programs.
Congratulations, Charlie!

Well deserved Charlie!
2 years in a row for the SFR! With Darin having to sideline it last year with the birth of his son, my guess is the 2 of you will be finding out just how good those RE motors are this year...side by side For sure the RE motor that is pushing the Holifields green car showed the other day it is going to be tough to beat. Man this year is going to be fun! Hope you get a chance to do a few SCCA events, but I do realize you will be more a full time NASA guy this year for many reasons

Very excited to be working with Race Engineering for 2012!
Would like to thank everyone that made this possible and helped out along the way last season. I'm lost for words with all this, it really means a lot! Taking steps in the right direction.
And to Ron, I may make a SCCA race or two. I enjoy Laguna and will have my Infineon fix with the NASA schedule. Just not sure where and when the Spec Miata Festival will be. I think that will be the best bang for the buck if its at the Mazda Raceway.
