Are the racing oils really any better than the good synthetics at the auto parts store? 5-30, 0-20, or straight weight? How often do you change oil? Every race weekend? Every x hours?

You should search some of the old posts, I am sure you will find lots of opinions. The difference.between racing oil and street oil is the additives like zinc. I think it's more important to chang the oil frequently than what brand you use. I would you a racing oil. I use brad penn racing oil and Chang it every other event.

I use Mobil 1 10w 30 in all of my cars and change the oil after every other weekend. My motor is still running after 2 years and 1 and a half logbooks of events.

I use Mobil 1 10w30 and change it after every weekend. Oil is cheaper than engines.

I have over 40+ track hours and 75k+ former street miles on my motor. I use M1 filter and M1 0w40 ($30 on sale) and change it every two or three weekends. My oil tests from Blackstone Labs always come back good. The motor is still very strong and burns about a quart over the life of the oil change.
