Took a quick glance at the other topics on Pit Board and I think this is new.
On the old site when a thread had more than one page hitting that thread's link would automatically take you to the last page. Would like to see that on this site. That 'feature' was especially nice for saving a step on mobile devices when downloading is a little slower.

Using "New Content" will always try to take you to the unread part of the thread.
Different ways for doing similar things.
But sometimes the New Content gets "flushed" too fast (but how should the forum know that some users need 8-12 hours to read all the content (I often get distracted with work at work).

I'd have to look into it. No reason I can think of the link shouldn't automatically jump to last unread post... unless you wanted to start at the 1st post.
