I thought if you ran in full SM trim the car was legal in ITA?
It was true until STL was added last year with "full SM trim" being legal but then ITA had to follow that ruleset. In our region, almost every ITA car became an STL car. There was one SM I saw out there still running ITA which technically wasn't legal but you don't often see protests in a one car class.

STL is much better fit for double dipping at this point

A fully built ITA car should be faster than any legal SM

Just a heads up on an issue we had this weekend at Sebring. The ITA weight for the 94-97 car is 2380 vs the SM weight of 2350. 1st and 2nd DQ for under weight! Also we realized you have to remove your RP as it is not an allowed modification.

Unless it was specificly listed by your region, SM's were never legal for ITA if they had all the updates. We tried to get this done in the GCR a few years ago, but the IT guys hit the fan. If not listed in the supps, you had to run under ITA specs.
The retsrictor plate is legal, if you call it a gasket!
