Maybe this has already been discussed but my understanding is that the 2003 plus models came with a limited slip diff that may not have been a Torsen. The rules do not seem to address this, only say that you "may" run the Torsen from the later cars. Curious about 1. the legality of running this stock diff in a 2003+ car and 2. performance advantage/disadvantage.

My reading of the rule is that you may run the stock torsen, but not the stock Tochigi Fuji LSD found in '03. I accidentally bought one once and looked into it a little bit for potential use in an enduro car and a torsen seemed better for racing. It has more stuff prone to fail, and of all the diffs it's supposed to act the least like a LSD and the most by an open diff since it's limited to a 36 ft/lb differential of torque between the wheels. On the other hand, if you want to buy one I have one to sell. :D
