So I've got a gallon of urethane-based paint and associated reducers and catalysts that I've decided I don't want to spray myself (isocyanates are bad!). Does anyone know of a good paint shop in the Bay Area that would be amenable to me showing up with a prepped car and a box full of painting supplies and paying someone to do the spraying for me in their booth?

I just dropped my car off at Maaco in South Fremont yesterday.
Can't answer your question but David was extremely helpful, offered a great price, and will turn the car around to me in time to race next weekend. Give him a call, im sure he can work something out for you.

The more prep the better. I had Maaco on Evelyn Ave in Sunnyvale/Mountain view do my paint a couple years ago.
I brought the car in pieces. Bumpers off, all lights and plastics removed, etc,...
I didn't bring the paint though
They scuffed/sanded the original paint and did a cheapo 1-stage job. That was done for $500! Not bad...
Deal with Dave (the husband). Mary the wife and accountant is not as easy to get a good deal

Thanks guys, I'll check this out!
Unfortunately, a combination of work insanity and parts backordering means I probably won't make the race this weekend, but I'll definitely be at Laguna in April!

There is a guy up here in concord that offered another racer a paint job for $600 if he supplied the paint. The racer didn't go for it...thought it was to much...I thought it was pretty good!
