My '92 1.6 ran a 1 1/2 hr Enduro @ VIR earlier this month - 2 pace laps, 35 race laps averaging about 80 mph, & 1 cool down lap - about 114 race miles + 10 pace/cool down miles. Had packed the tank with 12 1/4 gallons to start, & cut the engine off for most of the required 5 minute pit stop. At finish there was just under 1 gallon remaining. That comes out to around about11 mpg for race laps, and 20+ mpg for the slow laps. On shorter tracks with I usually figure around 10 mpg to be on the safe side.
Good luck,
Dick H.

Our 1.8 car same race, ran out last lap but limped back to S/F so no DNF

I have run lots of enduros in my 99's over the years. I cannot get 1-1/2 hours out of a full tank, end up a few laps short. If you have a mandatory stop, I suggest running the first stint with 3/4 tank, as in the initial stages generally traffic will slow you from your optimum times anyway. Refuel during the stop, with around 3/8 - 1/2 tank. You will be lighter in the latter part of the race when the traffic has thinned.

For my 1.6 (SM trim) I use 1 gal for every 10min of green flag
That is exactly the formula I have used for two years now...whether it is a practice, qualifying session, sprint race or enduro....have never run out of petrol....seems much easier than the mpg thing.

ps: maybe I need to drive faster!!
