Spent better part of today researching this, but have not found what I'm looking for (or to my satisfaction).
I have a diff out of a 1999 that was damaged in a rear end collision. The right ear snapped. It is a 4.3 torsen.
I have a spare 4.3 open out of a 1999.
Can I swap the guts without removing ring and pinion so I don't have to worry about lash settings?
What is best route?

Another torsen swap question

You probably wouldn't have to reset the lash if you do it in one swap but you might have to mess with the pinion gear depth since you are changing housings.

If you are just swapping the aluminum housing, you don't have to do anything. Just bolt it in place
