FYI, 99 have the same problem. They use the same syncro and hub. And have just as abusive drivers.

Trans has to come out. This seems to be caused by drivers putting the car into reverse while the car is rolling forward, then using the clutch to mak ethe car go backwards. This puts double the force on the rev syncro. Which has a couple of thin spots in the brass. Once the syncro is damaged there is no fixing it except to pull the trans apart.

I personally like the drivers that use the clutch as a slow speed limiter while revving the throttle........really good for the disk!
