Anyone know what kind of fuel consumption I should anticipate at Daytona in a 95-96 1.8? I need to map it out so I can make sure the car is going to make weight, and to see if it will go 90 minutes on gas. If you don't have Daytona data, data on any of the long fast tracks would also be useful. Thanks in advance.

Scott;
Not worth the gamble, if the race goes green the entire way and you are running at the limit, you may not go 85 minutes (5 minutes in pits with motor off).
And why carry the extra weight starting with the tank full to the filler neck?
Drain the gas tank and weigh car on Daytona's scales, then put in 8 gallons to start the race, put in 5 gallon jug at pit stop between 45 to 60 minute mark, you should be left with 2 +/- gallons in tank at end of race. Calculate your ballast to be over weight by minimum 10 lbs after the race.

I will answer my own question as I did the math on this. The car used 1.27g for every 10 minutes (7.62 gallons per hour), and I was running it pretty hard at Daytona.
