The May event is approaching quickly. This is NASA SoCal's only trip to Willow Springs this year, so be sure to register on time. Registration fees increase by $50 over the usual $329 on Sunday, May 6.

If it has been a while since you have been to Willow Springs, you might want to check out this instructional video for getting around the track. It was done by Jack Olsen, who has a lot of experience running his 911 on this track. Some of the line work differs from a Spec Miata, but there is enough good information contained in the 20-minute video that I'm fairly certain each of us can learn something, or at least refresh what might have faded from memory. There is also this talk-around written by John Morton. Worth reading if you haven't seen it.

Toyo Bucks contingency program is still in place and paying well. Details at link below.

I’ll have rebate forms in my trailer if you need them.

Also, those who were at the Buttonwillow event last month might recall hearing at the podium ceremony Sunday that all cars are required to have four class decals (front, rear and both sides), and that officials could be checking for their placement at Willow Springs. I also recall hearing the competition director say that black flags could be thrown at cars that didn't have them.

We were all in school long enough to know that when a professor tells you what might be on the test, that is what you should study. If you don't have class decals, be sure to get some. There may be other inspections, too, so be sure your car is within spec.

Also, so that you all know, the track is playing host to a test-and-tune day the Friday before the event.

That's all for now. Looking forward to seeing you all there. Thanks.
