I actully do it better than jim drago he holds me up thereEmbarrassed to say not sure what pole your seeing The Pombos helped me with that corner, after one , I go further drivers right than many as it completely makes two straight and helps the entry into three. I guess the apex of two is brake / downshift area for three actually.

OK, I have given up posting my video...
I tried that TQ convert on Traqmate to WMV file, was planning on putting in Movie maker and posting.. It is in slow motion
Anyone have any ideas how to get an MTS file on to You tube that doesn't require a doctorate degree, please let me know. I will post it if I can figure it out.
Buy a Mac and use I-Movie. 45 minute race downloads in 45 mins, editing takes another hour if you want to just show your bad lines so everyone follows them, then, uploading a 10 minute highlight to Youtube in HD is about 2 hours.

So what your saying is for about another $2000 investment, plus about 20 more hours of my time, I can post a video of how badly I drive for all to see?

Sounds like a cheaper and more useful way to spend time that this Spec Miata racing we do.

Buy a Mac and use I-Movie.
You don't need a Mac. There are plenty of free convertors from MTS to MP4 that run under Windows (google "mts to mp4") and there are great editing packages as well. (I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11. At the time I started using Vegas, most packages didn't support AVCHD.). A ~$50 package is certainly a lot cheaper than buying a whole new computer. Obviously if you already have a Mac, that is a different story. Note you may want to consider vimeo. It's free (with limitations, but cheap enough for a plus membership) and you can directly upload your mts files.
Edit: Some examples. Putting in sponsor logos etc. Effects like speeding up all the boring laps trying to run someone down (skip to 15 mins into the vid). I'm also no video wiz. Just figure out what you want to do and google it and there will be a Youtube vid showing you how to do it. The built in help is pretty darn good as well.
The other reason I started using Vimeo is because at the time Youtube only allowed 10 minute clips, which really sucked for putting up races that lasted more than 10 minutes. Vimeo also gives you the option to allow people to download the original file/vid.

If that works.. It will be the best $60.00 I ever spent... Video loading.. only 5:44 to go 1.98 gb file. If internet signal isn't interrupted, should load tonight sometime.

Ug, sorry to hear that. I've only ever had that happen once, and it seemed it was an issue with the network at the time. I took the same vid and reuploaded it and had no issues. Not what you want to hear when it takes you 6+ hours. I just uploaded a short test video that was in .m2ts format without a problem (My raw AVCHD that I ran through tsMuxeR to pull out a small clip and saved as .m2ts.) Vimeo has supported MTS files for some time now. Worst case you could send me the file and I'll process and post it.

sorry about your video not loading - I generally edit and compress mine so that they are smaller file sizes and upload faster. I will edit and upload the full Road Atlanta National race tomorrow when I am back, it should give viewers an idea of how close the racing was. Unfortunately by the time of then 2nd last lap I was a bit behind you so the view is a bit small in the wide angle camera, but it will show the extreme evasive maneuvers by both you and Cliffie.
PS - as to Turn 2/3, I most definitely do NOT do Turn2/3 the way you do it, and when you watch the video you be the judge as to who does what to whom in this segment

Yeah I really never understood that Pombo line into 3... I don't have a problem with my competitors doing it though

When I blew my great Rossini motor in qualifying, I knew that the spare motor was not going to be a front runner, but instead of heading home I decided to go ahead and do the engine swap, stay for the race and give it my best shot.
I knew I didn’t have any chance at winning, but I thought that if I could outdrive them in the infield from T1 to T7, possibly catch a sniff in the draft from T7 to T10A, make up some ground in the T10A braking zone, then who knows, maybe, just maybe I would be there at the end and possibly have a chance if someone made an error.
I knew that trying to accomplish this without killing the tires was going to be a tall order. Driving the snot out of the car and trying to get more than the tires are capable of giving works great for a while and then the tires start to go away.
I hung on for the first 20 minutes but in the end I couldn’t hang with them, and fell back a few seconds. Topping’s gearbox quit allowing me a brief sniff of 3rd place, but then Sandlin motored passed me like I was standing still. (24:35). Sandlin's drive from way back after avoiding Topping on lap 1 is an impressive drive to say the least.
Despite finishing 4th I still feel it was one of my best races ever and it taught me a lot about how to drive an underpowered car and still try and preserve the tires. Just sorry that I was not able to mix it up with Drago Brown and Sandlin up front. They had one hell of a race and just wish I could have had some fun making it even harder for them.
Brown and Drago’s evasive maneuver happen around the 30 minute mark in T10A as they come up on two lappers who go side by side and spin in front of them......
