Does anyone happen to know the size of the o ring that goes between the thermostat housing and the head? Need to get a replacement, but dont have time to order one from Mazda.

Thanks

I have one handy so the groove it goes in measures in mm ID 35, OD41. The o-ring itself measures at ID 36, OD 41, 2 dia.

You may be TSOL if yo don't have time to get one from Mazda. They're the only ones I've found that's actually the right size. I've bought a couple that said they were for the car but didn't really fit and ended up leaking (too large in diameter.)

In my experience you need a good industrial place, Grainger, McMaster-Carr. I usually get an assortment pack of something a bit more robust and high temp. Depending on the joint somethings a bit of red RTV just because.
