DTC60 is my fav with the MX5, won the championship on them.
Blue for the SM, won 3 ARRCs on them.
I had a rather large post on this subject at the old site. TESTING, even taking a year off from trying to perform to test products, will pay dividends in your program for years to come. Knowing for myself what I like has been the biggest avenue to improvement in my personal racing.
On the Mustang team, im asked to decide such things, I only do that after the drivers try each and we compare data and feel.

Makes it easy and I like buying from Mazda friendly folks WHO ACTUALLY ANSWER ALL MY DUMB QUESTIONS. lol
In the aftermarket pro world of brakes most companies require you use their pad and caliper combo. We specifically use Stoptech brake packages because they let us choose the pad. Danny at Carbo mixed up the pads for us and once we found that feel, brake issues went away.
Ok, someone at Carbo send me a check for this unsolicited endorsement LOL.
Again, buy them all and test, if you have to run a different pad company front to rear, that is fine.

one weird thing for me is that i generally went through front pads at 2-3x the rate as rears, but the DTC I actually ran out of rears early?? This was on a new set of calipers though, it's very likely my old junk was frozen.

I really like the 60s, I find the blues too "analog" for me (on or off).

Bringing this thread back from the dead. I wore out my front set of Hawk Blue's and replaced them with DTC-60 pads. The rear blue pads still have a decent amount of life left. Has anybody ran this combo? Good, bad, indifferent? I would like to run the blues until they are done but the next event for me is a double weekend and I would hate to throw away that money because the brakes aren't feeling right. Any input is appreciated.

I've done the DTC-60's on the front with the Blue rears. The rear will grab a tad more, but it's comfortable.

Try it, if YOU like it wonderful. No matter what any of the so called experts tell you, any of the combos will work, it is 100% your preference.

A little late to the party, but I've been running DTC60 front and Blues rear for a while. Very pleased with the combo. I've always preferred Hawks to the other guys on the SM - seems to fit my style better.
