From Alex's Facebook postings of results it looks like he was totally hooked up. In Race one his FRL was by significant margin, and his pole for Q2 was by over a second. If Alex goes to NASA Nats, which I am sure he is planning to do, expect him to be on the podium. Looks like he has this track down.

Bad luck, David Bednarz rolling his car on its' side during Thursday evenings's practice.
Good, David Bednarz finishing 2nd on Sunday after Thursday's incident.
Good, having a representative from a tire manufacturer at the track to answer questions about their product. Thanks Tim from Hoosier.
Not so good, it looks like Mid-Ohio eats new tires regardless of brand.
Good, one cycle tires used in Sunday's race look good afterward.
Impressive, the way Alex Bolanos had the field covered once it dried out.
Bad, He's probably not done beating us this year.
Good, Mid-Ohio is a blast to drive. If you haven't been there or been there in a while, put it on your calendar.
Not so good and best said by Alex Bolanos... It's a better track without the bus stop. Needs another passing zone.
Good, no bus stop used at upcoming NASA events.
Good?, having a short overweight mid-50's woman flirting with me a bit in hotel lobby while my 18 year old son was in the room.
Bad, not having my son there to keep keep her away.
Good, my wife is a keeper.
Good, grabbing the lead on the first lap Saturday.
Bad, missing shift on back straight.
Even worse, missing shift again a few laps later.
Good, close racing with Tom Brown at the end of the race Saturday.
Bad, not being able to make a pass stick on the last lap.

Good, meeting Frank Todaro and racing close with him for a while Sunday. Good guy, good driver, good car.
Good, figuring out why car wasn't handling too well Saturday.
Bad, finding 5/8" toe in on LR wheel and not checking it a session sooner. No, it didn't come off the trailer that way.
Good, Dave Wheeler pitching in to help on short notice.
Good, Meeting Andrew Charbonneau.
Bad, not fishing with him. I love fishing but never go.
Bad, getting flat tire on trailer on the way home with no spare wheel.
Good, Walmart auto center open late Sunday afternoon.

My bad was me hitting you in Madness, and spinning you.
the good, for you, that you got your position back. The announcer, i was told was having fun with the fact that I knocked you off and were betting you were going to return the favor. You did not and that was good for me.
look forward to the next one.

The car would just not work at all in the rain, I didn't even go out in the second qual for Saturday... boy did I pay the price for that! In the dry she made up for it though, car was good and I was able to move up through the field on Saturday. Caught Charb with 3 laps to go but I really had nothing left, made a few moves but none stuck and wasn't willing to make any risky attempts. Sunday was much better, less passes means I had more car left at the end and was able to bring it home.
Thanks to Jeffyboy racing for the rockstar motor and tech support as always and the Autotechnik gang Charb/The Bruces for keepin' it real.
P.S. Kwebby and Frankie T ROCK for introducing Jeff, Pop Bolanos and I to Great Lakes Brewery's weird beers... awesome!

Alex had the pole by a tenth of a second (1.44.9 vs my 1.45.0) for Sunday. I was able to get a great start on Sunday, but Alex eventually caught and passed me. Really wanted to not get caught in the 3rd, 4th 5th,.etc battle, with some really strong drivers, so the goal was to stay close to Alex and be consistent. Alex did not make a mistake and “cruised†to the win. As much as I wanted to win for two years in a row, Sunday would be Alex’s day, but still got to enjoy the champagne podium!

Maybe its just me, but I don't see any pictures from that weekend
AJ,
Give Jeff a chance, he's a little slow if you know what I mean (sorry Jeff). Actually, he was up photographing at the Grand Am and IT/SM Shootout again this past weekend. And he does have a full time job on the side. He generally shoots a few thousand shots on a weekend and it takes time to go through them and get them posted.
OK, enough excuses for him; where are the photos Jeff?

Jeff Loewe has his photos posted from the OVR/Cincy Double National. You can see them at www.jlofoto.net . Look under Gallery/Motorsports/Road Race and then there is an album for each of the three days, including all the podium celebrations for the BFG Super Tour on Sunday.
