I installed the Adv. Auto's adjustable FPR this weekend but I noticed (and don't remember before with the test-port installation) there was a LOT of fuel coming back up out of the hard return line. A significant quantity of fuel came flowing out of the return line (a dozen of the blue paper shop towels were soaked).

Could this be a sign of a pinched/partially blocked return line (presuming it goes back to the tank) and if so, would a visual inspection of the line as they run down the passenger side of the underbody suffice to find any potential 'squished' line?

How would I remedy fixing a squished line?

Corollary question: if I had a squished return line would that artificially raise the fuel pressure in the rail?

Thanks,
Brandon

Ever notice the WOOOSH of air when you remove the gas cap. The tank is under a slight pressure. That is what you saw.

Any of us with kids knows how much of a puddle a sippy cup of milk makes on the kitchen table. You really did not spill that much gas.

Thanks Dave. I'd not thought of that. And I always presumed it was a vacuum causing said "whoosh" and not pressure.

Back to your regularly scheduled programs!

Yeah, I second Dave. Had the same experience when I installed FPR and test ports. Also noticed that fuel expands A LOT with temperature variations.
I had the lines disconnected for a few days and coming back to the garage at night after a hot day, a big puddle had formed. I had to plug the lines.
