Full course caution was caused by Nova having two wheels fall apart and getting stuck after grapevine. The scary thing is he said he didn't hit anything with them. Not sure what brand it is, I dont want to guess. He's borrowing wheels and tires are and will be back out tomorrow.

Congrats dude! If you could, find out what wheels they were. Wheels coming apart are pretty scary, like brake failure. Not much you can do except brace for impact. The wife and I were going to come over and watch using the excuse of visiting my mom in Bakersfield but Honey has a wicked case of the flu.

Thanks Dave. Won the race today, making it a SM sweep for the weekend and 3 wins and 1 2nd in the last 4 SM races for the Race Engineering powered purple car. Two 2nds in the 2 races before that. Shaping up to be a great season.
Alex Brauer finished 2nd today.
I also got to meet the famous Errol Tucker.

These were in fact D-Force rims. Rims were new as of March or April. No car contact on them at all. The wheel pictured not only separated at the spokes, but has a large crack through the center hub( can see it from the back side). A sizable piece is missing from one of the spoke fractures too. The other rear rim has cracked at least two spokes. The cracks on that rim have opened up about a 16th of an inch.
I had two extra rims(Team Dynamics) with me that a good friend had lent us for replacing the rear rubber that weekend. But with such catastrophic failure of the rears, I was not happy at all with sending Nova out on the D-force fronts. Drove back home Saturday night and picked up the other two rims from my friend, mounted rubber Sunday morning, and headed out without incident.
Fortunately the rims came apart at a very good location on the track and the car went straight off with the rear wheel passing him and ending up quite some ways off track. Car kept straight and we had very minor damage to the brake rotor. Not sure if the rotor damage was from the rim coming off or from the tow vehicle which towed him a few hundred feet with the wheel off to get him to a safe part of the track.
Thank you to everyone that helped us at the track and for lifting our spirits for a really good time on Sunday. Thanks to Rob for lending us a rotor and to Ken Tucker for everything.
