I currently run XP10's up front, xp 8's in the rear. I started doing this a few years ago, because I was over slowing with hawk blues.
Now as I get "racier", I'm finding myself missing that huge initial bite I had with the hawks. What I don't miss though is all the brake dust and replacing rotors frequently.
Has anyone run xp 12's in front and xp10's in the rear on their spec miata? Any initial thoughts?
Thanks,
Vick

I have trieds 12 up front 10 rear, 10 front and 8 rear, 10 front and rear, 12 front and rear.
I never saw the need with carbotech to vary the flavors front the rear with their pads.
I no longer run them I run Cobalt, I liek the bite and modulation of the pads, I do vary the flavor frotn to rear with them, and cannot imagine doing the same front on rear with them.
Vick, I probably still have some new carbotechs in the boxes and lots fo used ones PM me if you want to try something...

I run XP12/XP10 F/R on my ITA Miata ('95) and like them. I had used Hawks on my previous car and this car came with them when I bought it.
I like the feel and the car feels balanced under braking (front to rear).
I think the Carbotech have gotten a little pricey over the last few years. SafeRacer seems to be the best deal with free shipping and the SM discount.
FYI, the Carbotech pads that Mazdaspeed carries are 'pre-bedded'.
