A lot of people are really stepping up their game for Nationals in September. Both days made for some simply awesome clean racing all over the pack. Congrats to Yiannis for the wins both days, picked up the track and his car like a pro! I'll have a video uploaded from my car soon.

Saturdays race:

1. Tsiounis
2. Williams -3.836
3. Sager -5.575
4. Stasiowski -5.767
5. Murdick -5.857

I foolishly didn't care to think about the front pad wear to be uneven inside to outside, did most of the race with an "extremely low" pad against the piston, and on the last lap finally lost brakes into china beach blowing the LF caliper. :sorry:

Sundays race:

1. Tsiounis
2. Slattery -.145
3. Williams -.685
4. Sager -1.369
5. Hille -1.547

Multiple lead changes and position flops, most fun I've ever had, except for the damn heat! If anyone else has videos put 'em up

:toast:

It can be done, with some good luck and a fast car. The competition this year looks like it's going to be ridiculously good.

Justin, how are the cars comparing at Mid-O this year under the new rules? Looks like all NA's up front except for the 99 that won both races.

The top 10 were 1.6 1.8 and 99 all mixed in, neither one had a clear advantage. Seemed to be all down to the handling and drivers. Should have more shoes here next month

Watched the start again and it looked like the #69 car (Gorilla black 99) was getting pulled but he must have mucked up the shift after looking at it again. Anyway, the driver made a nice move at the end of the straight to take the lead, nice drive.

Here's my view from a bit farther back in the pack. Started 9th and ended up 9th. Had a great time racing with everybody this weekend.

And if anyone has any constructive criticizm for things I could do better, besides my terrible start, feel free to let me know :)

Great job to all those out there this past weekend. Very competitive, so many guys in the 1:44s it was amazing! Managed to finish 14th on Saturday after a decent run from 16th on the grid. Sunday, I dropped over a second off my fastest time, from 1:47.0 to a 1:45.7, but it seems everyone got faster because I ended up in 18th on Sunday from 19th on the grid. This is why I love SM though, great competition, awesome close racing, and clean passing.

Here is my full race from Saturday, I made a few poor passing decisions and over-drove the car a little in some places. Overall I was happy with my races, but my goal was top 10 and I came up short. I'll try again in August! Any criticism is welcome, I need to get faster, and I need to drive smarter :)

I'll get my Sunday video uploaded when I can...

any constructive criticizm . . . Any criticism is welcome . . .

OK, I don't know about everyone else, but I don't even watch my own races without fast-forwarding. How about some editing? Maybe just the highlights? Who's got time to watch a 26 minute youtube? :P

Hahaha, watching Justin's 26 minute video on my phone, on my lunch break, right now!

Chris, nice video and your car looked to be handling very well, at least better than Shawns rig. LOL
