[Long Road Racing]

We've at Long Road Racing, have recently had the pleasure of having a few guest SM drivers (Bob Thornton and Mike Collins) in our Grand Am ST MX5 cars. Tyler Cooke and Tom Long, also SM drivers are in our GA car for the 2012 season.

I thought you would enjoy seeing a video produced by Grand Am that discusses the a few similarities and transition into GA specifically from SM, as well as some of the experiences of Tyler, Tom and Bob.

Glenn, thanks for posting the video. It was fun filming it and having some laughs along the way. As some of you know Ive been out of action with some back problems and im on the mend. I hope to be back in the saddle in a few more weeks. See you at the track soon.

I was speaking to someone who mentioned they saw 25 some odd people in the paddock at a Grand-Am race that were somehow affiliated with SM in the past. That said, when you step back and look at the larger picture, SM truly is a remarkable class. The fact that successful drivers in the SM ranks have the skill to not only graduate, but compete for wins at the pro level, speaks volumes about the competition.

At the end of the day, you've got to tip your hat to Mazda and Long Road Racing for their ladder systems that help drivers enter and climb the pro ranks.

This is my first year in Grand Am racing. I'm amased @ each event how many of my fellow SM'rs I run into. Great series, even greater program the Long's are offering. Keep up the good work!
