Jim B commented in another thread about getting more races in per weekend (in other classes) and it got me thinking. What if some of the sleepier regions hosted quad regionals to bring racers in from out of town?
If you had 5 race groups, take your 5 least attended weekends, and give one race group 4 regional races (for points) that weekend. All the other race groups do the usual double. Random drawing to determine which group gets their quad on which track and what part of the year.
I might show up in Oregon for 4 SM races...
Like it? Hate it? Too old?

We ran a quad regional last year at Nelson Ledges for GLD. I really liked having the quad plus more cars showed up. It was late in the year with a regional championship on the line

a good idea if the track is right. Going to Nelson Ledges for 4 races temps fate. Now do that at Road Atlanta an I am in.
Since Sm is just about the biggest class in SCCA, ( i am not sure where we are in relationship to SRF) some region should do a speed week of just SM's or a limited class of IT cars have 4 days of racing. Thursday practice, Friday 4 qualifying sessions Saturday 4 sprint races. Sunday Enduro's. get just about everyone from coast to coast to participate. More racing than the run offs.
Or maybe has some type of an elimination for the big race on Sunday.
