In the SM race on Saturday, six or seven of us missed the starting grid and chased the pack around the track, finally catching them at the start/finish. I managed to go from DFL to 10th at the finish. Skip Brock went from a couple of cars in front of me at the start to finish first. Brock and Mike Cottrell swapped the lead until Brock pulled ahead on the last lap in a door-banging exchange through turns 10A and 10B.
Top 10
1. Brock
2. Cottrell
3. Machavern
4. Bertok
5. Czarny
6. Cross

10. Hart
Sunday was much the same with Brock repeating as winner (SARRC sweep!). Cottrell blew a motor on Saturday's Pro-IT Race but Topping stepped up to battle with Brock most of the race. I started on time but finished 11th.
The top 10

In the Pro-IT races, Cliff Brown swept both ISM races by wide margins, I was 3rd Saturday and 2d Sunday. Newcomer Topher (2fer?) Everett won ISM2.
In Saturday's ECR, SM was won by Machavern, followed by Cross, Robertson and Wright.
For this of you who have not driven Road Atlanta, this video is an example of how NOT to pass in T1.

No SMs were hurt (much) in the making of this video and the car finished the race.

Frank, it was in the low 90s each day. Seemed cool after the 105-110 temps during the SARRC and ECR races at Roebling two weeks earlier.

If you want rain tom cruz I can always piss into the wind for you. It is Mid Ohio the most unpredicatble of all places for weather... Bring a jacket and a swim suit and your rubber ducky, that way you will have all angles covered. If you want to drive faster bring you fishing pole, that is florida speed secret...

I will tell you about 20 min. before the race as the weather men up here could not predict sun up. We have been having a pretty dry summer like most places so who knows. I have been keeping my eye on Atlanta weather and I think Columbus has been hotter.
We will have plenty of coolant on hand if it gets too hot.

There are a lot of good chassis guys out there, most of which are exceptional; it’s just been my experience that Racing Analytics stand above all the rest!
Congratulations on your results - I am sure you will be winning soon!
