If I read the December Fastrak correctly, SM has been moved from STU to STL. What I didn't catch until 10 minutes ago is that it's a Regional-only class. Does that mean we just lost our second class to race Nationals in?

SM was not moved from STU to STL. SM may now run in STL. If you wish to run your SM in STU, it is still eligible, but it will be at an obvious disadvantage to "real" STU cars.

Remember that the only chance for STL to move out of the regional ranks, is if it puts up huge numbers as a regional-only class. Not saying that it will move up, but it certainly has a better chance if it is a very popular class in regionals.

Dave - I read the Fastrack incorrectly so I appreciate that clarification!

Heck, if and when STL gets to National status, it'll probably be in the top 10 (maybe even top 5) in terms of participation very quickly.
