Having come from SM.com, I'm excited about the prospects for the new website. One thing I'm not enthused about is the color scheme. Seriously? Black and grey? And not even a good grey, but that sickly grey with a purplish tinge. I think they've discovered the most depressing color combo ever.

And look at that, when you click on a forum topic, there's even more grey, just a lighter shade.

Come on guys, a little color never killed anyone.

I changed the color to blue but I can't find where now, alot of help I know.
Werd is if I lerk I'm blue but when I log in I'm grey.

There are a ton of setting if you click on your name, upper right.

Also you have Masda Racer, IP Board, Mobile formats below.

I looked all over and can't find it, I thought it was below next to Mazda Racer.
I did change it before the site crashed the 1st time and we went to .net for a while.

Mike will have to answer that one.

This skin happens to be my favorite, im a FPS gamer type.

BUT, we can build ANY SKIN YOU WANT and you can use it separate of anyone else.

SO, post here your FAVORITE must have color scheme and we will see about making it an option.

Just find what you like and post the url here, real easy.

Trying to get some clarity and my 2 cents from someone who's at work on there desktop on this site quite a bit.

When the site went live there was a option to change colors and I changed to blue.
I guess this a different version of your current "skin".
I think if you had that it would fine for the users to play with but it does make me want to come up with one just like the old site.
IMO, Part of your success of the old site was the way it was laid out, the picture like an album,(who we are and what we do or did), the colors (not grey), the new content(easy to access), and I think you should build on that success not just change to this, you may not get the same results. This is important to your sponsors, users and new comers of/to the site. Reading some of the comments from the old site calling it "my old friend".
You have over 800 members and if all of them wanted something different and maybe changes later you would be pretty busy just doing that and isn't it about showing and telling what we have. How many people would figure you could change it after this thread gets old.

But with that said, what your saying is for example, if I do a search for "free skins" here,

You could pick some colors and then you could change to that.

Hey guys theres a lot more to the template than just colors, banners, some code, analytics, and much more go into the template, For each template variation we will have to add our codes, banners and more. Meaning each small change we make would have to be in each template to keep consistency.

Just going off what JD said above.
Easier to say than to do?

My skins are all different.
My signed out at work is blue, grey at home.
Signed out my "new content" gives me last 24, week, 2 week, option.
Signed in grey, and it doesn't
Please advice.

IMO, I would say if there was one skin (the site) with all option for us it would be cool.

The first skin that was here had Basic colors templates you could choose, but any color that grey would be better.
"New Content" should have the last 24, week, etc. options.
I'm sure there are more cool options but we don't know what they are.
All the SM SCCA NASA should get cleaned up. (Like the old site).

Everyone should agree on it. (which should be as easy as a rule change)
