Wow! What a bitter sweet ending to the season. We came to LRP in first place, just needed a 6th or better to finish #1. Alas that was not to be and we finished second in the championship. Not too shabby by any means, as this was my first year working with a Pro team. I would like to thank the Freedom Team Dereck Derek Whitis andRhett O'Doski for trusting me with your Equipment. I also need to thank Glenn Long and Tom Long for giving me the chance to “live my dreamâ€. And special thanks to Bob Thornton for the recommendation and Richard Hunter for the introduction to Bob.
Now for the rest of the story…. I will not be working Grand Am next year. Pro racing is best left to the young in body as well as the young in spirit. The commitment required and intensity of the effort is EXTREME! Next season I shall be concentrating on my club racing roots and building Crew Chief Services customer base.
Again it was a GREAT year and Thanks to Freedom Autorsports and Long Road Racing to the experience. And congratulations to Team I-Moto for winning the ST Championship and Team Kinetic/Kia for the third place finish. It was a well fought battle right to the end!!!!

Shout out to Freedom Autosports

I texted the guys yesterday, great season, terrible ending for some really good guys. They represent all of us so well, they do so much for the military and the veterans. I hope they start next season with same grit and determination.. It will come! This is proof that the best team doesnt always win!

Agreed, tough ending for the Freedom guys. What happened to Tom in the last 45 min or so that led to him falling back?

Electrical gremlins it is assumed at this point. On several laps Andrew literally pushed the #25 car down the front straight. Andrew is #1 best wingmanAgreed, tough ending for the Freedom guys. What happened to Tom in the last 45 min or so that led to him falling back?

Geez, I look forward to the TV broadcast! I have no doubt they gave it everything possible, and then some. See you guys at the 13 hour.
