I'll probably get flamed for posting in the SCCA forum, but I do believe it is a "public service" to let all the racers in Northern California (and the PacNorWest) that there are several opportunities to race at Infineon early in the season with NASA. There are no conflicts between SCCA and NASA calendars in 2011 in our region, so I hope some of you might decide to augment your SCCA season race calendar with a NASA event.

The first event is just over a week away - Feb 12th and 13th with an Infineon test day on Friday the 11th. Get a jump on the season and knock the cob-webs off early.

Hope to see many of you at the track soon.

Cheers,

Dean

Dean,

How easy is it to get a NASA log book and license in a weeks time? I think all we would need for the car is the center net. Anything else I might not know about?

Ron,

I've written up a document that outlines the process for SCCA races who want to try out NASA events. Here it is:

http://www.molaps.com/NASA_signup.doc

Warning** - I haven't updated it for this year, so the license and membership fees might not be accurate, and I haven't yet highlighted the spec miata rules differences. So, please be aware of those.

I'd recommend calling Dave Ho at NASA (the number is in the document) and he can have a membership and license card to you in a day or two.

For tech, you just need to find a tech station that you can get the car to. I'd highly recommend getting that logbook and annual BEFORE the first event, as like every organization, the morning of the first day of the first event of the year, tech is overwhelmed with people/cars who haven't come prepared...

Here's the link to the list of tech stations: http://www.nasanorca...ceTechShops.htm

Here's the link to the NorCal NASA site for any other info you need (or just call me): http://www.nasanorcal.com/

Would be great to see you out there next weekend!

Cheers,

Dean

Ron, I got mine with Tony at TC. Took like 5 mins.
I don't think you even need to take the car off the trailer.

Thanks Dean! We would definitely like to get to Infineon more than once this year! Of course it all depends on Kyles school load. But I'm certainly always ready to hit the track!

You can sleep in your car, but you can't race your house.

I'm in. Glen will probably be racing.

Who else is in for test? I'll drive Friday.

Who wants Art of Road Racing stickers? I've got Window banners and smaller decals too.
