Here's hoping the Ohio Valley Region - SCCA can arrange a support race a la the Grand Am weekend.

I organize a PCA D E in the middle of August and we were told that they would have to move out traditional date, so this must be it.

Den, Thanks for the invite but no can do on a school night. Work hours start at 6:30 am on Thursdays (ugg). If you attend tell them that Moose says "I want to race at the NASCAR event." I'm sure that will impress the crowd.

I've been lobbying OVR officials via email. Probably comes down to convincing NASCAR to give us a time slot(s) during the weekend events.

Even if a whole SCCA weekend could not be organized with the NASCAR events, maybe a series of SM races would be possible. A SM-fest would be a good way to show the NASCAR guys how to drive a road track.

I think they can but it would be tight

I emailed Adam F to see if a SCCA run group is possible, will report if he responds

There has been talk about reconfiguring some of the turns on Mid ohio to allow for more passing oportunites to the Indy guys, I wouldnt be suprised to see that happen before this race is held. If changes are not made there will be lots of standing yellows.

I beleive grand am has around 60 cars on track, no idea how many pit spaces they use but I would think a pretty hefty number
