I had a quick question that I need to figure out. I recently bought an SM and it came with the spline type quick release attached to a steering wheel that I do not care for. I have a MOMO mod 78 steering wheel sitting in my other miata but I do not know where to get the same quick release that will fit my spline shaft that is already pre welded in the car. The only reason I am not removing the quick release system from the gt stering wheel to the MOMO is because my dad would like to see how it fits him at a track day coming up. Any help would be great!!

A little more detail might help determine the brand. What color is the quick-release? Does it have keyed splines, ie: does it fit on in only one orientation?

The quick release I have on my GT wheel is a longacre product but when I went on their website I could not find the same product. I know that the quick release I have has little beads on either side. I dont know if that helps any.

If I have a spline could it fit any quick release with a spline also meaning it does not matter if it has a two layer or three layer function on it.

2 highest things on my list of things to work when things go bad are steering and brakes.
I'd just get a whole quick disconnect set and call it done.

Maybe contact the seller.

It has to have the right diameter and number of splines. I don't know if they're all the same. I did just test out the one I bought from Miatacage with a weld on Longacre (I think) and it fit great though.

Well, it's not a SPA quick-disconnect. Says Longacre on the hub.

Maybe I'm lost I.am but a caveman. Why don't you just mount whatever wheel you wanted to that quick release hub and be done with it? Why change the whole.system to.get a different wheel?

Are they both 3-bolt american style? Why not just unbolt them so they can both use the same quick release for the track day?
